Dr. Jaida Manzoor is a pioneering pediatric endocrinologist and the Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Child Health Sciences, Children’s Hospital Lahore. She chaired the Pediatric Endocrinology Department at Children’s Hospital Lahore for 21 years, establishing the first national unit for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, which serves children across Pakistan. She played a pivotal role in the accreditation of the FCPS fellowship and MD program in Pediatric Endocrinology in Pakistan and is a founding member and first Vice President of the Society of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes in Pakistan.
Dr. Manzoor’s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of early-onset obesity, glucose metabolic disorders in infants and children, and pubertal disorders. She has established international collaborations with Imperial College London, University of Lille, ULM University Germany, University Lausanne, and Exeter UK. Her work on genetic and monogenic obesity in Pakistani children has been widely published in high-impact international journals. As a leader in her field, Dr. Manzoor continues to advance pediatric endocrinology and diabetes care in Pakistan.
