Dr. Muhammad Arslan is a Distinguished Research Professor at Forman Christian College, Lahore. He earned his PhD in endocrinology from the University of Wisconsin, USA (1969) and held key positions, including the Vice-Chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University and the Chairman of the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology. Dr. Arslan, a pioneer in endocrinology research in Pakistan, published over 120 high-impact research articles in journals such as Nature Genetics, PNAS (USA), the Journal of Endocrinology, and Diabetes Care. He has received multiple research grants and is currently leading a collaborative obesity study in Pakistani children.
For his contributions to science and education, he was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (1993) and is a Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. Known for his commitment to mentoring young scientists, his laboratory served as a training ground for future researchers.
